Unique hotel spa project in South Tyrol

The thermal project in Postal is not only one of the largest projects of the last 50 years in our region, it is also unique. Thermal water was found at a depth of around 600 meters underground and can now be pumped to the surface at a rate of over 30 litres/second and a temperature of over 26° C.

There are two main applications for this resource. One is in the energy sector and the other in the medical sector. As far as the first is concerned, the amount of energy produced in one year has been quantified as 1,000,000 liters of diesel oil. This will be used to heat the structures.
In the field of medicine, an analogous study was carried out by Prof. Angelo Baggiani from the University of Pisa. "The thermal water from the well is mineral, chlorinated, fluorinated, bacteriologically pure, hypothermal, arsenic-rich, iron-rich and can therefore be used for "balneo-fangotherapy" for the treatment of arthrosis and dermatitis". These conclusions were recognized in the D.D. 4312 of July 15, 2019 of the Ministry of Health.

The entire project provides for certified thermal pools with accompanying structures such as a spa, a hotel and medical facilities, among others. It is being developed with the aim of being 100% CO2-free and achieving the highest standards in renewable energy and the circular economy.

Every single detail has been carefully thought through with the future in mind. It is not a simple thermal spa, but a very special place of encounter. Spa visitors and hotel guests will find themselves in spacious rooms surrounded by elements of nature. The central element is, of course, water. The structure consists of a clinical area, a wellness area, a hotel and several flexible units.
