Living on the water exerts a great fascination on many people - houseboats, floating houses and now even huge, floating properties with everything needed in everyday life. A shipyard shows it to the real estate industry: Thus also dwelling can be created!
Experiments with new housing forms make curious and offer alternatives to the conventional - for example the houseboats in Denmark, Amsterdam or Seattle and also the ultramodern floating houses of the Gebr. Friedrich shipyard made in Kiel. These individual solutions have now been crowned, so to speak, by the Papenburg-based Meyer Werft.
The MEYER Group, one of the leading shipbuilding companies with three modern large shipyards in Europe, has joined forces with ADMARES Marine, the world market leader for floating properties. Headquartered in Turku, Finland, the new company is called MEYER Floating Solutions and will focus on the design and manufacture of high-quality floating real estate.
The joint venture aims to use its extensive expertise from building large cruise ships, among other things, to develop floating solutions for housing and more. Underlying this is the expectation that the construction of real estate on the water will grow exponentially. Quality real estate in prime locations would make it more valuable to build on the water than on the waterfront.
Compared to conventional construction, the company's advanced production methods allow for shorter delivery times and minimize environmental impact by virtually eliminating traditional construction sites. MEYER Floating Solutions offers a variety of floating properties, from private villas and hotels to the largest above-water facilities in the world, and also serves clients seeking fully customized above-water solutions.
Under the motto "Sustainable Lifestyle on the Water," the entire life cycle of its products is designed to minimize environmental impact.
