Other information
Sant Llorenç des Cardassar is a small village in the east of Mallorca. Originally called Bellver after James I of Aragon reconquered the island, the town takes its name from an altar dedicated to San Lorenzo. In the surrounding area there are numerous vestiges of Talaiots from a notable settlement in prehistoric times. Once a destination for pilgrims, this picturesque and tranquil village retains much of its medieval charm and is home to a variety of typical Spanish shops, cafes and bars. Only 8 km from the larger town of Manacor and 12 km from the beach, it is one of the best addresses on the quiet east coast of the island.
